Named after Shinji Nohara, or the “Tokyo Fixer,” it takes his immense knowledge about Japan’s restaurant scene and shapes it into a bar with uniquely American sensibilities.

Developed by the team behind Michelin-starred omakase restaurant Noda, Shinji’s bar is providing New Yorkers with an immersive and interactive cocktail experience, serving a menu of nostalgic cocktails enriched with inventive twists.

With only 18 seats, the bar exclusive flair and intimacy is all-together with its interior, crafted by designer Ken Fulk and architect Aiden Carty, who chose blue and its shades to set the mood. Rich velvet drapes wrapping the wall, luxurious patchworked armchairs, special customed Fortuny Concubine lamps.

In fact, for this project Fortuny has dyed its silk pendants of a bright sky-blue, which hang overhead and provides romantic lighting.
